Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.
We caught up with actress, Alex Lombard, who plays Gabrielle, to talk about Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Horror News Network: How did you become involved in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?
Alex Lombard: I auditioned for it in Los Angeles and was flown to New Orleans to shoot it.
Horror News Network: Can you tell us a bit about your character, Gabrielle?
Alex Lombard: Gabrielle is a foot loose and fancy free gal who is the girlfriend of Henry Sturgess played by Dominc Cooper. When Abe arrives at Henry's house, he finds Gabrielle and Henry in a compromising position which adds a bit of fun and flirty humor to the top of the film.
Horror News Network: What kind of research did you do to prepare for this role?
Alex Lombard: I booked the job and was on my way to New Orleans soon thereafter, so I began reading the book on the plane.
Horror News Network: How long were you on set filming?
Alex Lombard: A couple of weeks.
Horror News Network: Did you get to keep anything from the set?
Alex Lombard: I wish! It was rife with amazing props. The attention to detail was incredible.
Horror News Network: What was it that impressed you the most with your fellow actors on this film?
Alex Lombard: Everyone made me feel incredibly comfortable which was nice because I wasn't wearing very much. I immediately felt like I was part of the family.
Horror News Network: What can horror fans expect in terms of scares, blood and guts?
Alex Lombard: I haven't seen the movie, so I'm not sure what made it in, but I can guarantee they are in for a wild ride!
