The Walking Dead Season 2 - Episode 8 - Nebraska

Meat
Welcome back Gore Whores! Mid season premier begins where we left off…At the barn slaughter. Shane acts as if he did just the right thing with no remorse at first but as he speaks to Dale (yells at Dale) I can see he is not 100% convinced. He also, sees Carroll and apologizes. I feel Shane is still struggling between right and wrong in this post apocalyptic new world. Carl confides in his mom that his dad did the right thing in shooting Sophia. That he would have done the same. Hershel in shock goes into his house to put his late wife's things away finally realizing she was never coming back. Hershel then decides to visit an old friend, a bar he frequented before his daughters were born and he stopped drinking. It seems to me he is finally waking up in the world of "The Walking Dead" and now he has to make all the hard that the rest of the group has been making all along. After Hershel takes off his daughter Beth goes into shock catatonia so, Rick and Glen go out to bring him back. When they get to the bar and begin to do their "manly banter" as to what is right and what is wrong. Two strange and too friendly and inquisitive men show up saying they're from all over and there is nothing left in Fort Binning. (the place our group were planning on checking out) They also let Hershel, Rick, and Glen know everywhere they have been there has been a different story about, what I would call "safe zones" with no prevail. Rick is suspicious of these new comers and I'm pretty sure so are Hershel and Glen feel the same. The conversation continues and turns to where Rick's gang is all posted up and what the accommodations are like there. Rick is then suddenly forced to defend Hershel's farm by shooting the two strange men! This is another example that Rick is the leader that should be in charge. We end he episode with Lori getting into a car wreck caused by a stray walker.
Walkers
The walkers were mostly from the barn slaughter. One of them, Hershel's wife isn't dead and as Beth goes to here mama she attacks her. The group slaughters her in a magnificently brutal manner, sickle to the head! One other walker walks in front of Lori's car and gets mowed down.
My Flesh
This episode keeps up with the high adrenalin action and fast pace drama that we all come to love and look forward to! I guess we don't have to look for Sophia again! I do believe Hershel is going to allow the group to stay at least till the end of the season. I think the wreck will cause Lori to miscarry. Which are both good things. I don't know what's going to happen between the rest of the group but I'm sure we will be seeing more splintering! It was as usual a great episode. I look forward to your comments and questions so send them in let's "chew the fat!" Until next time my fellow Gore Whores!
