Gore It Up - 13 of the goriest films ever made

We all have seen that movie where you wake up the next morning still completely grossed out and still thinking about every wicked scene. Here are the 13 of the goriest films ever made.

13. HIGH TENSION:

In 2003 France gave us Americans a shocking and truly terrifying film. One of the first scenes is of man in a truck getting head by a corpses head. If that itself didn’t creep you out, then the over 30 mins of true terror will. The killer pretty much slaughters a family picking them of one by one and hacking the mother to death. The ending is where it all comes together and you are truly shocked by what you just watched.

12. THE WIZARD OF GORE:

Herschell Gordon Lewis, the wizard if you will of gore movies in the late 60’s and early 70’s. In this film you get to see a lady get sawed in half as well as a spike being driven through a woman’s brain. Lewis is known for his excellent use of color and this film is no exception. Lots of blood and guts to fill your gore needs.

11. TORSO:

A bizarre type of film for a gore film. This Italian masterpiece takes you into a sex filled world complete with orgies and drugs. With that comes brutal stabbings and deceptions. It has the essential horror rule that everyone knows by now. If you have sex you wont survive this movie!

10. MANIAC:

A classic 80’s film. It lies somewhere between a Son of Sam type of killer feeling and a good old slasher film. The killer stalks the woman of New York. One scene in this movie the killer Frank scalps a woman with a razor. One great moment is the shotgun scene. Frank jumps on top of a car and blasts his shotgun at the man in the seat, the head goes flying apart. Very gory and Very awesome.

9. PIECES:

After the Texas chainsaw massacre in the 70’s, the 80’s brought us Pieces. In the first 10 mins of this movie, a mother is literally hacked to “pieces” by her son. The young boy goal is to make a jigsaw puzzle out of human parts. A very disturbing and graphic scene is the legendary shower scene where a young woman pees herself as the chainsaw killer is chasing her but she eventually gets hacked up.

8. HOSTEL 2:

I only have three words for you people who have seen this movie. DICK CUTTING SCENE!. I think that itself says it all. I am not even a guy and even I cringed at that. Along with that we have the lovely lady that bathes in her victims blood very Elizabeth Bathory- aka the Blood Countess of the 15th century.

7. SAW 1:

I know what all you hardcore horror fans must be thinking. A Saw movie really? But lets be honest this movie has some pretty brutal scenes. The first thing you when the lights go on, is Jigsaw laying in a pool of blood with a huge bullet wound in his head. Along with the Dr eventually cutting off his own foot is enough to make you squirm a bit, but then you have the razor wire death scene along with a man being burned alive.

6. THE GORE GORE GIRLS:

Yes another legendary film from Hershell Gordon Lewis. In this movie you get to see a woman get her faced burned off by a pot of boiling French fries. Along with that a woman get her ass literally beaten with a mallet until her butt looks like raw hamburger meat. The opening scene is what will get you going though. A woman gets her faced bashed into a mirror … very bloody and very Hershell Gordon Lewis style.

5. BLOOD FEAST:

Some call this movie the Citizen Cain of Gore movies, I just call it awesome. In this film we see a scene where a woman gets her tongue literally ripped from her mouth and the killer holds the tongue in awe, but not before slapping it across her face a few times. A heart as well gets ripped out, blood and body parts sounds like my kind of movie.

4. THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN:

The name alone says it all. Vinne Jones who plays Mahogany in this film does not utter more than two words during this movie. With that being said his utter brutality takes complete control over this movie with bodies hanging on meat hooks on a subway train car, to the scene where a head and eyeballs go flying.

3. CANNIABAL HOLOCAUST:

Another great Italian film. In this film we have a woman having her fetus forcibly removed along with many gang rapes, a beheading and a impalement on a wooden pole. Also this movies still remains a huge issue with the animal rights campaign since real animals were killed during this film. Side note: the original Italian release was site as a SNUFF film.

The film was confiscated for 10 days after the premiere. The director was forced to void the actor’s contracts in order for them to appear in court, since the courts believed the actors in this film were in fact dead.

2. DEAD ALIVE:

A great film, yet not given a lot of attention up until recently. If you love fighting hundreds of zombies, animated intestines and spinal cords, severed heads, and disembodied legs… then check this film out.

1. DAY OF THE DEAD:

The legendary filmmaker George A. Romero did again with this zombie film…. I wont spoil this one, but expect lots and lots of zombie, body parts being eaten and gore. Check it out.
